Replacing existing nurse call installation
The Philipp-Nicolai-Haus in Marl (Germany), part of the Ev. Johanneswerk GmbH, offers a new home for old people and people in need of care of all levels of care.
The residents live together with twelve people in eight residential units. In multi-professional teams, a high degree of flexibility and quality in care and support is offered, in specialized apartments support and care for people with dementia and people with high somatic care needs is made available.
Challenge
- Replacement of existing German brand nursecall, reusing optimally the available infrastructure, including the local MSG Server and Fire Alarm system. All with great respect for the high care residents and including dementia and somatic care solutions.
Solution
- The local MSG Server was recovered by integrating the iCall nursecall solutions directly into this server. All available old cabling was reused. All-in combination with wired nursecall and wireless solutions for dementia. Via iCall LB-displays, the fire alarm was integrated towards the individual end-points.
Result
- The home has now enabled dwellers to switch on room lighting via the new nursecall solution, silent anti-runaway solutions work flawlessly and the efficiency of staff was raised.
